  • If the DTC of the PHEV-ECU had been erased, the DTC of the ECM had also been erased at the same time.
  • Do not replace the ECM until a through terminal check reveals there are no short/open circuits.
  • Check that the ECM ground circuit is normal before checking for the cause of the problem.
  • After the ECM detects a malfunction, a DTC is recorded the next time the electric motor unit is started and the same malfunction is re-detected. However, for items marked with a "*1", the DTC is recorded on the first detection of the malfunction.
  • The codes marked with a "*2" in the DTC number column have the following two conditions for recording the DTC.
    • In case that the misfire causing the damaged catalyst is detected, the DTC is recorded at the time.
    • In case that the misfire deteriorating the exhaust gas is detected, the DTC is recorded when the same malfunction is redetected after the next engine start.
  • When the refuel control mode cannot be canceled even if fuel filler lid is closed*3, it can be canceled the refuel control mode by performing the following operations.
    *3: The related refuel indication on the combination meter does not disappear, the fuel tank solenoid valve does not turn off, or the power of the ECM does not turn off even if the fuel filler lid is closed.
    • Using scan tool (M.U.T.-III SE), "Forced Refuel control completion" from special function screen is executed.
    • 30 minutes passed after the item execution.
    • Drive the vehicle continuously for approximately 30 seconds.
