DTC P24C0-00: EVAP leak check pump stuck on/off /Switching valve stuck closed

CIRCUIT OPERATION
  • The switching valve, the leak detection pump and the canister pressure sensor is built into the Evaporative Leak Check Module (ELCM).
  • MFI relay is built into the IPDM E/R.
  • The switching valve power is supplied from the MFI relay.
  • The ECM controls switching valve by turning the power transistor in the ECM "ON" and "OFF".
  • A power voltage of 5 volts is applied to the ELCM connector terminal number 7 from the ECM connector terminal number 97.
  • The power voltage is grounded to the ECM connector terminal number 117 from the ELCM connector terminal number 5.
  • The signal voltage according to the pressure inside the evaporative emission canister is output to the ECM connector terminal number 107 from the ELCM connector terminal number 6.

TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
During the key-off evaporative leakage monitoring, when measuring the reference pressure, when the pressure reduction speed in the evaporative emission canister is slow and when the evaporative emission canister pressure cannot be reduced while driving the evaporative emission leak detection pump, it is judged as switching valve stuck close or evaporative emission leak detection pump sticking.
