REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

caution

When replacing the ECM, the KOS-ECU should not be replaced together. If at least two ECUs need to be replaced, replace one ECU and then use the scan tool (M.U.T.-III SE) to register its ID in the ECU . Then proceed to the replacement of the other ECU.
After the ECM has been replaced, perform the work in following order.
- Execute the ECM update (Refer to UPDATE ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM)).
- If the ECM is replaced, use the scan tool (M.U.T.-III SE) to write the Chassis No. (Refer to HOW TO PERFORM CHASSIS NUMBER (Chassis No.) WRITING).
- If the ECM is replaced, always make the ECM learn the throttle actuator control servo (Refer to INITIALISATION PROCEDURE FOR THROTTLE VALVE CONTROL SERVO).

Turn the power supply mode of the electric motor switch off and then wait for at least 10 seconds.
