CHASSIS NUMBER (CHASSIS NO.) WRITING

When the ECM has been replaced, perform the work in following order.
1. Update ECM (Refer to UPDATE ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM))
2. Chassis number (Chassis no.) writing
3. INITIALISATION PROCEDURE FOR THROTTLE ACTUATOR (Refer to INITIALISATION PROCEDURE FOR THROTTLE VALVE CONTROL SERVO)

Using the scan tool (M.U.T.-III SE), write the chassis number in the ECM by the following procedures.

1. Select “ENGINE” in the system selection screen.

2. Select “Special Function” and then select “Chassis No./VIN Registration”

3. Write the chassis number by following the instructions on the screen.
