TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
- The barometric pressure sensor is built into the ECM and converts the barometric pressure into a voltage signal.
- The barometric pressure sensor converts the barometric pressure into a voltage signal and inputs the signal to the ECM.
DESCRIPTIONS OF MONITOR METHODS
Barometric pressure sensor output voltage is out of reasonable barometric pressure range.
MONITOR EXECUTION
Continuous.
MONITOR EXECUTION CONDITIONS (Other monitor and Sensor)
Other Monitor (There is no temporary DTC set in memory for the item monitored below)
Sensor (The sensor below is determined to be normal)
DTC SET CONDITIONS
Check Conditions
- More than 2 seconds have passed since the power supply mode of the electric motor switch was ON.
- 12V battery positive voltage is 6 volts or higher.
Judgment Criterion
- Barometric pressure sensor output signal has continued to be less than 40 kPa (11.8 in.Hg) for 10 seconds.
FAIL-SAFE AND BACKUP FUNCTION
Control as if the barometric pressure is 101 kPa (29.8 in.Hg).
OBD-II DRIVE CYCLE PATTERN
None.
TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS (The most likely causes for this code to be set are:)
Barometric pressure sensor (built into the ECM) failed.
