DTC SET CONDITIONS
Check Conditions
- Power supply mode of electric motor switch: ON
- While engine is running.
Judgment Criterion
- Engine coolant temperature is higher than 121°C (250°F) for a second.
FAIL-SAFE AND BACKUP FUNCTION
Execute engine continuous driving and output suppression by PHEV-ECU.

- Insufficient amount or deteriorated quality of engine coolant.
- Cooling fan system failed.
- Engine coolant temperature sensor failed.
