DTC SET CONDITIONS
Check Condition
  • The power supply mode of the electric motor switch is ON.
Judgment Criterion
  • Authentication error (ECM) is detected.
 
 
FAIL-SAFE AND BACKUP FUNCTION
READY ON is not possible.
 
 
OBD-II DRIVE CYCLE PATTERN
None.
 
 
TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS (The most likely causes for this code to be set are:)
  • Inappropriate key registration operation
  • Intelligent key system failed.
  • Power drive unit failed.
  • Rear motor (malfunction of the REMCU) failed.
  • ECM failed.

  • MB992744: Vehicle communication interface-Lite (V.C.I.-Lite)
  • MB992745: V.C.I.-Lite main harness A
  • MB992747: V.C.I.-Lite USB cable short
  • MB992748: V.C.I.-Lite USB cable long
1.STEP 1. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-III SE), read the other system DTC.
Use scan tool (M.U.T.-III SE) to check whether the intelligent key system sets the following DTC.
Intelligent Key Unit
  • DTC B2033-4A: DONGLE NG
Q: Is the DTC B2033-4A set?
Troubleshoot the set DTCs (Refer to BODY EXTERIOR, DOORS, ROOF & VEHICLE SECURITY, Door & Lock, ECU Diagnosis Information – Intelligent Key Unit DTC Index).
 
2.STEP 2. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-III SE), DTC recheck after erasing DTC.
After erasing the DTC, check again to see if the DTC is set again.
(1) Use scan tool (M.U.T.-III SE) to erase the DTC.
(2) Turn OFF the power supply mode of the electric motor switch.
(3) Turn ON the power supply mode of the electric motor switch.
(4) Use scan tool (M.U.T.-III SE) to recheck the DTC.

3.STEP 3. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-III SE), read the other system DTC.
Use scan tool (M.U.T.-III SE) to check whether the other system sets the following DTCs [Refer to ELECTRIC POWER TRAIN, Electric Motor Control Unit (EMCU) and Motor (Electric Motor Unit) – Troubleshooting – Diagnosis Function DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION].
Power drive unit
  • DTC P3085-61: PPDU is staying protected because of PDU
REMCU
  • DTC P30FF-61: RMCU is staying protected because of RMCU

Power Drive Unit [Refer to ELECTRIC POWER TRAIN, Electric Motor Control Unit (EMCU) and Motor (Electric Motor Unit) – Power Drive Unit POWER DRIVE UNIT REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION], Rear motor assembly [Refer to ELECTRIC POWER TRAIN, Electric Motor Control Unit (EMCU) and Motor (Electric Motor Unit) – Motor (Electric Motor Unit) <Rear> MOTOR (ELECTRIC MOTOR UNIT) REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION], and replace the ECM (Refer to ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION).
