CIRCUIT OPERATION
The PHEV-ECU activation signal is input to the ECM connector terminal number 119 from the PHEV-ECU connector terminal number 34.
TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
The ECM checks whether the PHEV-ECU has been activated normally by the PHEV-ECU activation signal.
DTC SET CONDITION
Check Condition
- Power supply mode of electric motor switch: ON
- 12V battery positive voltage is between 10.0 and 16.5 volts.
- It is not refuel control mode.
- The PHEV-ECU activation circuit is diagnosed for 10 seconds after the power supply mode of the electric motor switch is changed to ON.
Judgment Criterion
- The communication error between the ECM and PHEV-ECU is detected.
FAIL-SAFE AND BACKUP FUNCTION
Indicates "REFUELING SYSTEM SERVICE REQUIRED" on the information screen in the multi-information display.
OBD-II DRIVE CYCLE PATTERN
None.
TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS (The most likely causes for this code to be set are:)
- PHEV-ECU failed.
- Open circuit, short circuit or damage in PHEV-ECU activation circuit or loose connector contact.
- ECM failed.
