CIRCUIT OPERATION
- The throttle actuator is built into the throttle body assembly.
- The ECM controls the current that is applied from the ECM connector terminal number 17 and number 18 to the throttle actuator terminals (terminal number 1 and number 2) of the throttle valve assembly connector.
TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
ECM check whether the throttle actuator magneto has failed.
DESCRIPTIONS OF MONITOR METHODS
Throttle actuator intelligent power device detects shorted-high/low and overheat of itself.
MONITOR EXECUTION
Continuous.
MONITOR EXECUTION CONDITIONS (Other monitor and Sensor)
Other Monitor (There is no temporary DTC set in memory for the item monitored below)
Sensor (The sensor below is determined to be normal)
DTC SET CONDITIONS
Check Condition
- 12V battery positive voltage is higher than 8.3 volts.
Judgment Criterion
- The coil current of the throttle actuator is higher than 8 ampere for 0.3 second.
FAIL-SAFE AND BACKUP FUNCTION
Throttle opening degree position is in default position.
OBD-II DRIVE CYCLE PATTERN
TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS (The most likely causes for this code to be set are:)
