THROTTLE ACTUATOR CONTROL MOTOR CHECK

COIL RESISTANCE INSPECTION
warningThe throttle valve drive circuit must be reliably cut off when the throttle valve is touched. In the event that the throttle valve operates, fingers might get caught and result in an injury.
1. Disconnect the electronically controlled throttle valve connector.
2. Measure the resistance between terminal No.1 and terminal No.2 of the electronically controlled throttle valve connector.
Standard value: 0.3 – 100 Ω [at 20°C (68°F)]
noteIf the measured value is out of the standard value, perform inspection again after opening the throttle valve at least five times to the fully open position with your fingers.
When the throttle actuator control servo is not used for a long time, resistance may increase as a result of an oxidized film forming inside. For this reason, the problem is resolved by moving the throttle valve and removing the oxidized film by the self-cleaning action of the throttle actuator control servo.
3. If the measured value is out of the standard value, replace the throttle body assembly.
