THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

caution

When the throttle body assembly is replaced, initialise the learned value using scan tool (M.U.T.-III SE) (Refer to INITIALISATION PROCEDURE FOR LEARNING VALUE IN MFI ENGINE).
Never loosen the screw fixing the throttle body assembly resin cover. If the screw is loosened, the sensor incorporated in the resin cover is misaligned and the throttle body assembly does not work normally.

Pre-removal operation

Engine Coolant Draining (Refer to Engine cooling - car mentenance - ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT).
Air Intake Hose Removal (Refer to Intake/Exhaust - AIR CLEANER REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION).

Post-installation operation

Air Intake Hose Installation (Refer to Intake/Exhaust - AIR CLEANER REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION).
Engine Coolant Refilling (Refer to Engine cooling - car mentenanc - ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT).

			Removal steps
		•	Initialisation operation <only at installation>
		1.	Electronic control throttle valve connector connection
		2.	Control wiring harness clip connection
		3.	Battery cable clip connection
		4.	Throttle body water return hose connection
		5.	Throttle body assembly
		6.	Throttle body gasket

INSTALLATION SERVICE POINTS

>>A<< THROTTLE BODY GASKET INSTALLATION

Fit the throttle body gasket in the inlet manifold groove securely with neither twisting nor damage given.

>>B<< INITIALISATION OPERATION

1. Turn the power supply mode of the electric motor switch to ON.

2. Turn the power supply mode of the electric motor switch to OFF and hold it for at least 10 seconds.
