REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
 
 
caution
  • When removing or installing the air flow sensor, be careful not to apply impact to the sensor.
  • Do not reuse the air flow sensor that has been dropped.
Removal steps

INSTALLATION SERVICE POINTS
 
 
>>A<< AIR CLEANER BODY ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION
cautionPrior to assembling, check for cracks or damage on the insulator into which the guide pins of air cleaner body assembly are inserted. If there are cracks or damage, replace the insulator.
1. Align the two rear guide pins of the air cleaner body assembly with the hole of insulator (1) lower the air cleaner body assembly so as to align the guide pins with the axis line of insulator hole (2) and insert the rear guide pins (3).
2. Check that the front guide pin of the air cleaner body assembly and the axial line of insulator hole are aligned (4), press in the upper surface of the air cleaner body assembly downward, and insert the front guide pin into the hole of insulator (5).
cautionIf the guide pins and the insulator hole are not aligned, check the condition of the rear guide pins of the air cleaner body assembly as they may not be correctly inserted.
 
 
 
>>B<< AIR CLEANER AIR FLOW SENSOR INSTALLATION

cautionNever apply force of twisting, torsion, etc. to the O-ring when mounting the sensor.
Mount the air cleaner air flow sensor to the air cleaner cover.
2.
cautionDo not overtighten as overtightening the air flow sensor mounting screws may damage the air cleaner cover threads.
Tighten the air cleaner air flow sensor mounting screws to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 1.5 ± 0.3 N·m (13 ± 2 in-lb)
