TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS

DIAGNOSIS
Required Special Tools:
  • MB992744: Vehicle communication interface-Lite (V.C.I.-Lite)
  • MB992745: V.C.I.-Lite main harness A
  • MB992747: V.C.I.-Lite USB cable short
  • MB992748: V.C.I.-Lite USB cable long
  • MB991223: Wiring harness set
  • MB992006: Extra fine probe
1.Insulation resistance check of generator
Check the insulation resistance of the generator (Refer to CHECK ON INSULATION RESISTANCE OF GENERATOR).
Is the check result normal?
Replace the generator (Refer to ( GENERATOR REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION.
 
2.Insulation resistance check of power drive unit
Check the insulation resistance of the power drive unit (Refer to CHECK ON INSULATION RESISTANCE OF POWER DRIVE UNIT.
Is the check result normal?
Replace the power drive unit (Refer to POWER DRIVE UNIT REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION).
 
3.Check whether the DTC is set again.
Is the DTC set?
Perform the "Inspection procedures when BMU P0AA6-00: Insulation Resistance Drop Detection Diagnosis is set." again (Refer to DIAGNOSIS CHART FOR DTC No. P0AA6-00).
The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to General Information - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points, How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunctions HOW TO COPE WITH INTERMITTENT MALFUNCTIONS).
