Check Condition
  • Drive battery precharge contactor control circuit activation command: OFF
  • Drive battery positive contactor control circuit activation command: OFF
  • Drive battery negaitive contactor control circuit activation command: ON
  • DMCM discharge status: ON
  • EV power source relay drive signal: ON
Judgment Criterion
  • The input voltage of the power drive unit is 150 volts or more for 25 seconds or more.
  • The input voltage of the REMCU is 150 volts or more for 25 seconds or more.

  • Malfunction of the junction box No. 2
  • Malfunction of the A/C compressor

  • MB992748: V.C.I.-Lite USB cable long
1.M.U.T.-IIISE other DTC
Check whether the PHEV-ECU sets the following DTC.
  • DTC No. P0ADC-00 Hybrid/EV Battery Positive Contactor Control Circuit High
Is the DTC set?
Troubleshoot the set DTC (Refer to DTC No. P0ADC-00 Hybrid/EV Battery Positive Contactor Control Circuit High). Then,
 
2.M.U.T.-IIISE other system DTC
Check whether the following high voltage components set the DTC.
  • On Board Charger (OBC)
  • DC-DC converter
  • PHEV A/C amplifier
  • Power drive unit
  • REMCU
Is the DTC set?
Troubleshoot the set DTCs. Then,
 
3.Test the OBD-II drive cycle.
(1) Carry out a test drive with the drive cycle pattern. Refer to OBD-II Drive Cycle OBD-II DRIVE CYCLE.
(2) Check the DTC.
Is the DTC set?
<Vehicle with AC power supply function>
<Vehicle without AC power supply function>Disassemble the drive battery (Refer to SERVICE PROCEDURE). After the disassembly, replace the junction box No. 2 (Refer to JUNCTION BOX NO.2 REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION). Then,
The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to General Information - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points, How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunctions HOW TO COPE WITH INTERMITTENT MALFUNCTIONS).
 
4.AC inverter check

  • Carry out the check on the high voltage circuit while reading carefully the precautions on handling a high voltage vehicle.
  • Be sure to wear the specified protective equipment when checking the high voltage circuit.
(1) Disconnect the high voltage cable between the junction box and AC inverter.
(2) Carry out a test drive with the drive cycle pattern. Refer to OBD-II Drive Cycle OBD-II DRIVE CYCLE.
(3) Check the DTC.
Is the DTC set?
Disassemble the drive battery (Refer to SERVICE PROCEDURE). After the disassembly, replace the junction box No. 2 (Refer to JUNCTION BOX NO.2 REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION). Then,
Replace the AC inverter (Refer to AC INVERTER REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION). Then,
 
5.Test the OBD-II drive cycle.
(1) Carry out a test drive with the drive cycle pattern. Refer to OBD-II Drive Cycle OBD-II DRIVE CYCLE.
(2) Check the DTC.
Is the DTC set?
Replace the PHEV-ECU (Refer to PHEV-ECU REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION). Then,

6.Test the OBD-II drive cycle.
(1) Carry out a test drive with the drive cycle pattern. Refer to OBD-II Drive Cycle OBD-II DRIVE CYCLE.
(2) Check the DTC.
Is the DTC set?
Retry the troubleshooting.
