Removal and Installation
cautionFront bumper fascia is made of resin. Never apply strong force to it, and be careful to prevent contact with oil.
 
 
REMOVAL
 
 
1. Remove front grille. Refer to Removal and Installation.
2. Remove front bumper fascia fixing clips .
3. Remove engine under cover front fixing clips .

4. Remove front spoiler fixing screws and clip , and then remove front spoiler.

5. Remove front bumper fascia fixing screws and clip .

6. Remove front side of front fillet molding (LH and RH). Refer to Removal and Installation.
7. Remove front bumper bracket fixing clips inside of fender protector.
8. Remove front bumper fascia fixing screw .
9. Apply protective tapes (A) on the part to protect it from damage.
10. Pull front bumper fascia side toward the vehicle side to disengage the fitting of front bumper side bracket and front bumper fascia side according to the numerical order 1→2 as shown by the arrows in the figure.
cautionWhen removing front bumper fascia, 2 workers are required so as to prevent it from dropping.

11. Disconnect front fog light harness connector (if equipped).
12. Disconnect front sonar sensor harness connector (if equipped).
13. Remove front bumper fascia.
cautionWhen removing front bumper fascia, 2 workers are required so as to prevent it from dropping.
14. Remove the following parts after removing front bumper fascia.
  • Front fog light (if equipped). Refer to Removal and Installation.
  • Front sonar sensor (if equipped). Refer to Removal and Installation.
  • Front bumper bracket
  • Front bumper finisher
  • Front bumper grille
  • Front bumper molding
  • Front bumper molding lower
  • Bumper bracket cover
15. Remove front bumper energy absorber and front bumper energy absorber lower.
16. Remove active grille shutter. Refer to Removal and Installation.
17. Remove front bumper reinforcement.
  1. Remove harness clips.
  2. Remove head light. Refer to Removal and Installation.
  3. Remove horn. Refer to Removal and Installation.
  4. Remove distance sensor. Refer to Removal and Installation.
  5. Remove front bumper reinforcement mounting bolts, and then remove front bumper reinforcement.
  6. Remove front bumper reinforcement bracket mounting bolt, and then remove front bumper reinforcement bracket.
18. Remove front bumper reinforcement lower mounting bolts and nuts, and then remove front bumper reinforcement lower.
19. Remove front bumper side bracket fixing screws and pawl, and then remove front bumper side bracket.
 
 
INSTALLATION
Note the following items, and then install in the reverse order of removal.

  • The following table shows the specified values for checking normal installation status.
  • Fitting adjustment cannot be performed.
