DIAGNOSIS
STEP 1. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check whether the DTC is set.
Check whether the DTC related to the cell voltage is set in the BMU.
Is the DTC set?
Perform the troubleshooting of DTC (Refer to ).
Go to Step 2.

STEP 2. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check whether the DTC is set again.
Recheck if the DTC is set.
(1) Charge the main drive lithium-ion battery for about 60 minutes with normal charging.
(2) Erase the DTC.
(3) Turn off the power supply mode of the electric motor switch.
(4) Turn on the power supply mode of the electric motor switch without depressing the brake pedal.
(5) Wait for 5 minutes or more.
(6) Check if the DTC is set.
Is the DTC set?
Go to Step 3.
The procedure is complete.

STEP 3. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check the data list. <BMU>
Check the BMU's data list (Refer to ).
  • Item No.393: Sum total time back up
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 4.
Perform the BMU learning value manual written (Refer to GROUP 00 - Precautions before Service - Procedures for Writing BMU Learning Value ). Then go to Step 5.

STEP 4. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check whether the DTC is set again.
Recheck if the DTC is set.
(1) Measure the capacity of the main drive lithium-ion battery (Refer to ).
Replace the battery management unit (BMU) (Refer to ).
The procedure is complete.

STEP 5. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check whether the DTC is set again.
Recheck if the DTC is set.
(1) Erase the DTC.
(2) Turn off the power supply mode of the electric motor switch.
(3) Turn on the power supply mode of the electric motor switch without depressing the brake pedal.
(4) Wait for 5 minutes or more.
(5) Check if the DTC is set.
Is the DTC set?
Replace the battery management unit (BMU) (Refer to ).
The procedure is complete.
