DTC U1195: Coding not completed
 
 
caution
  • If the DTC No. U1195 stored, be sure to diagnose the CAN bus line.
  • When replacing the radio and CD player, always check that the communication circuit is normal.
  • When the DTC No.U1195 stored in radio and CD player, the DTC may also be stored in ETACS-ECU. When the DTC is stored in ETACS-ECU, carry out the diagnosis of the DTC for ETACS-ECU first.
 
 
TROUBLE JUDGMENT
This DTC is stored when the variant coding for ETACS-ECU has not been implemented.
 
 
 
TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS
  • Variant coding for ETACS-ECU has not been implemented.
  • The radio and CD player may be defective.
 
 
 
 
DIAGNOSIS
STEP 1. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-III), diagnose the CAN bus line
(1)
cautionTo prevent damage to scan tool (M.U.T.-III), always turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position before connecting or disconnecting scan tool (M.U.T.-III).
Connect scan tool (M.U.T.-III). Refer to "How to connect the Scan Tool (M.U.T.-III) ."
(2) Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
(3) Diagnose the CAN bus line.
(4) Turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position.
Is the CAN bus line found to be normal?
Go to Step 2.
Repair the CAN bus lines (Refer to GROUP 54C - Diagnosis ). On completion, go to Step 4.
 
STEP 2. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-III), read the ETACS diagnostic trouble code
Check if the DTC No. B222C is stored to ETACS-ECU.
Is the DTC stored?
Troubleshoot the relevant DTC, and then go to Step 4.
Go to Step 3.
 
STEP 3. Recheck for diagnostic trouble code.
Check again if the DTC is stored in the radio and CD player.
(1) Erase the DTC.
(2) Turn the ignition switch from the "LOCK" (OFF) position to the "ON" position.
(3) Check if the DTC is stored.
Is the DTC No.U1195 stored?
Replace the radio and CD player, and then go to Step 4.
Intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunctions ).
 
STEP 4. Recheck for diagnostic trouble code.
Check again if the DTC is stored in the radio and CD player.
(1) Erase the DTC.
(2) Turn the ignition switch from the "LOCK" (OFF) position to the "ON" position.
(3) Check if the DTC is stored.
Is the DTC No.U1195 stored?
Return to Step 1.
This diagnosis is complete.
