DTC No.U1195: Coding not Completed

caution
  • If there is any problem in the CAN bus lines, an incorrect DTC may be set. Prior to this diagnosis, diagnose the CAN bus lines.
  • Whenever the ECU is replaced, ensure that the CAN bus lines are normal.
  • When DTC No.U1195 is set in AWD-ECU, the DTC may also be set in ETACS-ECU. When the DTC is set in ETACS-ECU, perform the diagnosis of the DTC for ETACS-ECU first.

OPERATION
AWD-ECU receives the vehicle information stored in ETACS-ECU via CAN bus lines.

DTC SET CONDITION
This DTC is set when the abnormality below is detected:
  • Coding has not been performed.

TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS
  • Malfunction of the CAN bus line
  • Coding not implemented
  • Malfunction of ETACS-ECU
  • Malfunction of AWD-ECU

DIAGNOSIS
STEP 1. Scan tool (M.U.T.-III) CAN bus diagnostics.
(1)
cautionTo prevent damage to scan tool (M.U.T.-III), always turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position before connecting or disconnecting scan tool (M.U.T.-III).
Connect scan tool (M.U.T.-III). Refer to "How to connect the Scan Tool (M.U.T.-III) ."
(2) Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
(3) Diagnose the CAN bus line.
(4) Turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 2.
Repair the CAN bus lines (Refer to GROUP 54C - Troubleshooting ).

STEP 2. Scan tool (M.U.T.-III) other system DTC.
Check the ETACS DTC (Refer to GROUP 54A - Troubleshooting ).
Is the DTC set?
Perform the relevant troubleshooting.
Go to Step 3.

STEP 3. ETACS-ECU coding data check
Using the scan tool (M.U.T.-III), check if there is the engine-related, T/M-related, ASC-related abnormality to the coding data stored in the ETACS-ECU (Refer to GROUP 00 - Coding Reference Table ).
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 4.
Replace the ETACS-ECU. Then go to Step 5.

STEP 4. Check whether the DTC is set again.
Is DTC No.U1195 set?
Replace the AWD-ECU (Refer to ). Then go to Step 5.
Intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).

STEP 5. Check whether the DTC is set again.
Is DTC No.U1195 set?
Return to Step 1.
This diagnosis is complete.
