DTC C1626: Electronic Controlled Coupling Solenoid Voltage Fails
 
 
 
 
OPERATION
The AWC-ECU monitors the actuator power supply voltage.
 
 
DTC SET CONDITION
This DTC is stored when the abnormality below is detected:
  • Electronic control coupling solenoid (front, center) voltage monitor value: 10 V or more.
 
 
PROBABLE CAUSES
  • Malfunction of electronic control coupling solenoid (front, center)
  • Damaged harness wires and connectors
  • Malfunction of AWC-ECU
 
 
DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE
STEP 1. Measure the resistance at the AWC-ECU connector.
(1) Disconnect the connector, and measure at the wiring harness side.
(2) Resistance between AWC-ECU connector terminal FSL+, FSL- and body ground
OK: No continuity
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 3.
Go to Step 2.
 
STEP 2. Check the wiring harness between electronic control coupling solenoid (front) connector and AWC-ECU connector terminal FSL+, FSL-.
Check the power supply, ground line for short circuit (for short to the power supply).
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 3.
Repair the defective connector or the wiring harness. Then go to Step 7.
 
STEP 3. Check of the electronic control coupling solenoid (front)
Refer to .
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 4.
Replace the transfer assembly (Refer to ). Then go to Step 7.
 
STEP 4. Measure the resistance at the AWC-ECU connector.
(1) Disconnect the connector, and measure at the wiring harness side.
(2) Resistance between AWC-ECU connector terminal SOL+, SOL- and body ground
OK: No continuity
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 6.
Go to Step 5.
 
STEP 5. Check the wiring harness between electronic control coupling solenoid (center) connector and AWC-ECU connector terminal SOL+, SOL-.
Check the power supply, ground line for short circuit (for short to the power supply).
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 6.
Repair the defective connector or the wiring harness. Then go to Step 7.
 
STEP 6. Check of the electronic control coupling solenoid (center)
Refer to GROUP 27C - On-vehicle Service .
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 7.
Replace the electronic control coupling (center) (Refer to GROUP 27C - Electronic control coupling ). Then go to Step 7.
 
STEP 7. Check whether the DTC is stored again.
Is DTC No.C1626 stored?
Replace the AWC-ECU (Refer to ). Then go to Step 8.
Intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).
 
STEP 8. Check whether the DTC is stored again.
Is DTC No.C1626 stored?
Return to Step 1.
This diagnosis is complete.
