DTC C1752: ACC/FCM Radar Temperature out of Range
 
 
caution
  • If there is any problem in the CAN bus lines, an incorrect diagnostic trouble code may be set. Prior to this diagnosis, diagnose the CAN bus lines.
  • Whenever the ECU is replaced, ensure that the CAN bus lines are normal.
 
 
OPERATION
The ACC-ECU monitors temperature at the radar.
 
 
DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE SET CONDITION
This diagnostic trouble code is set when the abnormality below is detected:
  • cruise control switch "ON" or FCM switch "ON"
  • Control is cancelled in order to protect the ACC-ECU.
  • The temperature which the ACC-ECU detects at the radar is below -30°C (-22°F) or over 95°C (203°F).
 
 
PROBABLE CAUSES
  • The ACC-ECU remains protected.
  • Severe driving condition (e.g. driving under high load)
  • Malfunction of ACC-ECU

 
 
DIAGNOSIS
STEP 1. Check the radar temperature (high or low).
(1) Turn the ignition switch to "LOCK" (OFF) position and then wait for a while so that the radar at the ACC-ECU remains at appropriate temperature.
(2)
cautionTo prevent damage to scan tool (M.U.T.-III), always turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position before connecting or disconnecting scan tool (M.U.T.-III).
Connect scan tool (M.U.T.-III). Refer to "How to connect the Scan Tool (M.U.T.-III) ."
(3) Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
(4) Erase the diagnostic trouble code.
(5) Check if the diagnostic trouble code is set.
(6) Turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position.
Is diagnostic trouble code No.C1752 set?
Go to Step 2
This diagnosis is complete (Protection is deactivated)
 
STEP 2. Scan tool (M.U.T.-III) data list
Check the following data list (Refer to ).
  • Item No.02: Radar temperature
Is the check result normal?
Intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).
Replace the ACC-ECU (Refer to ).
