DTC No. P1AA2-1C: DCDC output control failure

TROUBLE JUDGMENT
Check Condition
  • All the time during operation
Judgment Criterion
  • The malfunction of the IGCT control power supply voltage is detected.

TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS
  • Malfunction of the 12V battery
  • The malfunction of the DC-DC converter power supply circuit system
  • Malfunction of IGCT control relay
  • Malfunction of the On Board Charger (OBC)/DC-DC converter
noteThe DTC No. P1AA2-1C may be set due to the following factors.
• The 12V battery becomes flat because the vehicle is left with the power supply mode of the electric motor switch in ON (READY indicator: ON) condition.
• 24V battery is connected inadvertently.

DIAGNOSIS
Required Special Tools:
  • MB992744: Vehicle communication interface-Lite (V.C.I.-Lite)
  • MB992745: V.C.I.-Lite main harness A
  • MB992747: V.C.I.-Lite USB cable short
  • MB992748: V.C.I.-Lite USB cable long
  • MB991223: Wiring harness set
  • MB992006: Extra fine probe
1.M.U.T.-IIISE other DTC check
Check whether the following DTCs is set.
  • DTC No. P1AA2-A3: DCDC output voltage failure
Is the DTC set?
Troubleshoot the set DTCs (Refer to DTC No. P1AA2-A3 DCDC output voltage failure).

2.12V battery condition check
(1) Check the 12V battery terminal for looseness and foreign materials.
(2) Perform an 12V battery test (Refer to Power Supply, Ground & Circuit Elements - Battery Inspection Work Flow).
Is the check result normal?
Repair or replace the 12V battery (Refer to Power Supply, Ground & Circuit Elements - Battery Removal and Installation).

3.IGCT control relay check
Check the IGCT control relay. (Refer to IGCT CONTROL RELAY CONTINUITY CHECK).
Is the check result normal?
Replace the IGCT control relay.

4.Check of the wiring harness between the On Board Charger (OBC)/DC-DC converter and IGCT control relay (IGCT line)
Check the following wiring harness for open circuit and damage.
  • Open circuit and damage between the On Board Charger (OBC)/DC-DC converter connector (No. 7 terminal) and IGCT control relay (contact side downstream)
Is the check result normal?
Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.

5.Check of the wiring harness between the On Board Charger (OBC)/DC-DC converter and body ground (gorund line)
Check the following wiring harness for open circuit and damage.
  • Open circuit and damage between the On Board Charger (OBC)/DC-DC converter connector (No. 2 terminal) and body ground
Is the check result normal?
Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.

6.Check whether the DTC is set again.
(1) Erase the set DTC.
(2) Change the power supply mode of the electric motor switch to ON (READY indicator: ON).
(3) Check whether the DTC is set again.
Is the DTC set?
Replace the On Board Charger (OBC)/DC-DC converter (Refer to ON BOARD CHARGER (OBC) &DC-DC CONVERTER REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION).
The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to General Information - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points, How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunctions HOW TO COPE WITH INTERMITTENT MALFUNCTIONS).
