BATTERY DIAGNOSIS
To diagnose and confirm the condition of the battery, use the Multitasking battery and electrical diagnostic station (commercially-available).

Refer to the applicable instruction manual for proper battery diagnosis procedures.
DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE
1.
12V BATTERY VOLTAGE CHECK
Remove the 12V battery cable.
Measure the 12V battery no-load voltage.
OK: 12.6 V or more
Is the check result normal?
12V battery is normal.

2.
12V BATTERY CHARGING
caution
Do not perform quick charge.
Charging current should be 5.0 A or lower when charging.
The battery may explode when flame is brought close while charging.
Any work during charging should not cause any hazard such as generation of spark, etc.
Perform in a location with good ventilation.
Charge the 12V battery
Charge the 12V battery. (Refer to
Removal and Installation
).
Charge with normal charging current of 5 A and 20-hour rate capacity of 50 Ah.

Measure the 12V battery voltage.
OK: 12.6 V or more
Is the check result normal?
12V battery is normal.

CHARGE THE 12V BATTERY AGAIN
Charge the 12V battery. (Refer to

Measure the 12V battery voltage.
OK: 12.6 V or more
Is the check result normal?
12V battery is normal.
Replace the 12V battery. Refer to
Removal and Installation
