BATTERY DIAGNOSIS
To diagnose and confirm the condition of the battery, use the Multitasking battery and electrical diagnostic station (commercially-available).
noteRefer to the applicable instruction manual for proper battery diagnosis procedures.
 
 
DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE
 
 
1.12V BATTERY VOLTAGE CHECK
  1. Remove the 12V battery cable.
  2. Measure the 12V battery no-load voltage.
    OK: 12.6 V or more
Is the check result normal?
12V battery is normal.

2.12V BATTERY CHARGING
caution
  • Do not perform quick charge.
  • Charging current should be 5.0 A or lower when charging.
  • The battery may explode when flame is brought close while charging.
  • Any work during charging should not cause any hazard such as generation of spark, etc.
  • Perform in a location with good ventilation.
Charge the 12V battery
  1. Charge the 12V battery. (Refer to Removal and Installation).
  2. Charge with normal charging current of 5 A and 20-hour rate capacity of 50 Ah.

  3. Measure the 12V battery voltage.
    OK: 12.6 V or more
Is the check result normal?
12V battery is normal.

3.CHARGE THE 12V BATTERY AGAIN
  1. Charge the 12V battery. (Refer to ).
  2. Measure the 12V battery voltage.
    OK: 12.6 V or more
Is the check result normal?
12V battery is normal.
Replace the 12V battery. Refer to Removal and Installation.
