DIAGNOSIS
Required Special Tools:
  • MB992744: Vehicle communication interface-Lite (V.C.I.-Lite)
  • MB992745: V.C.I.-Lite main harness A
  • MB992747: V.C.I.-Lite USB cable short
  • MB992748: V.C.I.-Lite USB cable long
1.M.U.T.-IIISE other DTC check
Check whether the REMCU sets the DTCs related to temperature sensor (characteristic error, upper limit error, lower limit error).
Is the DTC set?
Troubleshoot the set DTC (Refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART). Then,

2.M.U.T.-IIISE other DTC check
Check whether the PHEV-ECU sets the following DTCs.
  • DTC No. P3123-15 Water Pump monitor circuit-High
  • DTC No. P3124-11 Water Pump monitor circuit-Low
  • DTC No. P3125-01 Water Pump Function Monitor A
  • DTC No. P3126-01 Water Pump Function Monitor B
  • DTC No. P3127-9F Water Pump Function Monitor C
  • DTC No. P3128-9E Water Pump Function Monitor D
Is the DTC set?
Troubleshoot the set DTCs (Refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART). Then, go to .

3.M.U.T.-IIISE other system DTC
Check whether the PHEV-ECU sets the DTC related to the radiator fan.
Is the DTC set?
Troubleshoot the set DTC (Refer to PHEV-ECU – DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART). Then,

4.Check of the EV water cooling system
Check the EV water cooling system (Refer to EV COOLANT LEAK CHECK).
Is the check result normal?
Replace the rear motor assembly (Refer to MOTOR (ELECTRIC MOTOR UNIT) REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION). Then,
Repair or replace the faulty part. Then, replace the rear motor assembly (Refer to MOTOR (ELECTRIC MOTOR UNIT) REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION). Then,

5.Test the OBD-II drive cycle.
(1) Carry out a test drive with the drive cycle pattern. Refer to OBD-II Drive Cycle OBD-II DRIVE CYCLE.
(2) Check the DTC.
Is the DTC set?
Retry the troubleshooting.
The procedure is complete.
