DTC No. P1572-9E Brake Pedal Switch for ASCD

DTC SET CONDITION

Check Condition

All of the following conditions are met.
- The power supply mode of the electric motor switch is ON.
- The selector position is in a position other than P or N.

Judgment Criterion

The stoplight switch signal is detected to be stuck ON (no brake operation) for 10 hours or more.

1.Stop light switch check

Check the stop light switch (Refer to Security Control System - Stop Light Switch Component Inspection

Is the check result normal?

Replace the stop light switch (Refer to Brake System- Brake Pedal Removal and Installation

2.Voltage measurement at stop light switch connector (terminal No. 4)

(1) Disconnect the connector, and measure at the wiring harness side.

(2) Change the power supply mode of the electric motor switch to ON (READY indicator: OFF).

(3) Measure the voltage between the stop light switch connector (terminal No. 4) and body ground.

OK: 1 V or less

Is the check result normal?

Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness in signal line between the stop light switch connector and ABS actuator and electric unit.

Is the check result normal?

The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to General Information - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points, How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunctions HOW TO COPE WITH INTERMITTENT MALFUNCTIONS

Replace the PHEV-ECU (Refer to PHEV-ECU REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
