REDUCE PRESSURIZED FUEL LINES
When removing the fuel pipes and fuel hoses, follow the procedure below to release fuel pressure in the line and prevent fuel from running out, because fuel pressure in the fuel line is high.
1. Remove the second seat assembly (Refer to Body Interior - Seat, Removal and Installation, Second Seat Assembly, Removal and Installation Removal and Installation).
2. Remove the floor inspection lid (LH) (Refer to Body Exterior, Doors, Roof & Vehicle Security - Exterior, Loose Panel Removal and InstallationREMOVAL AND INSTALLATION).
3. Disconnect the fuel pump and gauge assembly connector.
4. Run the engine at the continuous idling mode (Refer to General information - Precautions, Continuous Idling Mode CONTINUOUS IDLING MODE).

  • If the engine starts, wait until it stops. Then turn off the electric motor switch.
  • If the engine does not start, turn off the electric motor switch.
5. Connect the fuel pump and gauge assembly connector.
6. Install the floor inspection lid (LH). (Refer to Body Exterior, Doors, Roof & Vehicle Security - Exterior, Loose Panel Removal and Installation REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION)
7. Install the rear seat assembly (Refer to Body Interior - Seat, Removal and Installation, Second Seat Assembly, Removal and Installation Removal and Installation).
