Diagnosis Procedure
1.CHECK TAIL LIGHT POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT (SHORT)
  1. Ignition switch OFF
  2. Disconnect the following connectors.
    • IPDM E/R
    • Front combination light LH
    • Front combination light RH
    • Rear combination light LH (body side)
    • Rear combination light RH (body side)
    • Rear combination light LH (power liftgate side)
    • Rear combination light RH (power liftgate side)
    • License plate light LH
    • License plate light RH
  3. Check continuity between IPDM E/R harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?
Repair or replace harness.
 
2.CHECK TAIL LIGHT POWER SUPPLY
  1. Connect IPDM E/R connector.
  2. Ignition switch ON
  3. With operating the lighting switch, check the voltage between rear combination light (body side) harness connector and ground.

    *: Only when the illumination judgement by intelligent auto light system is OFF.
Is the inspection result normal?

Replace IPDM E/R. Refer to Removal and Installation.
 
3.CHECK TAIL LIGHT
Check the tail light. Refer to Component Inspection (Tail Light)Component Inspection (Tail Lamp).
Is the inspection result normal?

Repair or replace the malfunctioning part.
 
4.CHECK LICENSE PLATE LIGHT
Check the license plate light. Refer to Component Inspection (License Plate Light)Component Inspection (License Plate Lamp).
Is the inspection result normal?
.
Repair or replace the malfunctioning part.
 
5.CHECK FRONT SIDE MARKER LIGHT
Check the front side marker light. Refer to Component Inspection (Front Side Marker Light)Component Inspection (Front Side Marker Lamp).
Is the inspection result normal?
.
Repair or replace the malfunctioning part.
 
6.CHECK REAR SIDE MARKER LIGHT
Check the rear side marker light. Refer to Component Inspection (Rear Side Marker Light)Component Inspection (Rear Side Marker Lamp).
Is the inspection result normal?

Repair or replace the malfunctioning part.
