Diagnosis Procedure
1.CHECK TRANSFER OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR GROUND CIRCUIT
  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
  2. Disconnect transfer oil temperature sensor harness connector.
  3. Check the continuity between transfer oil temperature sensor harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

Repair or replace damaged parts.
 
2.CHECK TRANSFER OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR SIGNAL CIRCUIT
  1. Disconnect AWD control unit harness connector.
  2. Check the continuity between AWD control unit harness connector and transfer oil temperature sensor harness connector.

  3. Check the continuity between AWD control unit harness connector and ground.

Repair or replace damaged parts.
 
3.CHECK TRANSFER OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR SIGNAL
  1. Connect AWD control unit harness connector.
  2. Turn the ignition switch ON.

  3. Check the voltage between transfer oil temperature sensor harness connector and ground.

Repair or replace damaged parts.
 
4.CHECK TRANSFER OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR
Check transfer oil temperature sensor. Refer to Component Inspection.
Is the inspection result normal?

Replace transfer oil temperature sensor. Refer to Removal and Installation.
 
5.CHECK TERMINALS AND HARNESS CONNECTORS
  • Check AWD control unit pin terminals for damage or loose connection with harness connector.
  • Check transfer oil temperature sensor pin terminals for damage or loose connection with harness connector.
Is the inspection result normal?
After turning the ignition switch OFF, perform DTC confirmation procedure again. If DTC “C1215-13” is detected, replace actuator assembly due to the malfunction of the AWD control unit. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly .
