DTC P1D37: AC Input Fuse Abnormal or AC Power Supply Equipment Abnormal
 
 
 
 
TROUBLE JUDGMENT
Check Condition
  • While the on board charger is allowed to charge from PHEV-ECU.
Judgment Criterion
  • The abnormal AC power supply or the abnormal AC input fuse is detected.
 
 
 
FAIL-SAFE AND BACKUP FUNCTION
  • The charge is stopped.
 
 
PROBABLE CAUSES
  • The AC power supply (at the supply side) is abnormal.
  • The charging cable is failed.
  • The on board charger/DC-DC converter is failed
 
 
 
DIAGNOSIS
Required Special Tools
  • MB991223: Wiring harness set
  • MB992006: Extra fine probe
dangerWhen high voltage system components are served, be sure to pull service plugs to shut down high voltage (Refer to ).
dangerWhen pulling service plugs, wear the specified protective equipment (Refer to ).
STEP 1. After charging with the normal power supply facility, using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check whether the other DTC is set.
Is any other DTC than P1D37 set?
Inspection Chart for Diagnosis Code (Refer to ).
Go to Step 2.
 
STEP 2. Check the control box of the charging cable (normal charger).
  • During normal charging
Is the FAULT indicator illuminated or does it blink?
Inspection procedure: FAULT indicator is lit (Refer to ), Inspection Procedure: FAULT indicator blinks (Refer to ).
Go to Step 3.
 
STEP 3. After replace the normal charging cable, using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check whether the DTC is set again.
  • During normal charging
Is the DTC set?
Go to Step 4.
Replace the charging cable.
 
STEP 4. Check of open circuit and damage in COLD line and HOT line between normal charging connector and on board charger/DC-DC converter connector.
dangerWhen high voltage system components are served, be sure to pull service plugs to shut down high voltage before serving (Refer to ).
dangerWhen pulling service plugs, wear the specified protective equipment (Refer to ).
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 5.
Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.
 
STEP 5. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check whether the DTC is set again.
Is the DTC set?
Replace the on board charger/DC-DC converter (Refer to ).
Intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunctions ).
