- Main drive lithium-ion battery cell voltage monitor
- Battery energy control module (sub BMU) monitor
Sensor (The sensor below is determined to be normal)
- Main drive lithium-ion battery current sensor monitor
- Main drive lithium-ion battery temperature sensor monitor
DTC SET CONDITIONS
Check Conditions
- battery management unit (BMU) power supply voltage is 8 volts to 16 volts.
- Time after above conditions satisfy is less than 0.52 second.
- Main drive lithium-ion battery current is less than 1 ampere.
- Average battery cell voltage is more than 4 volts.
- The soaking time is more than 3,600 seconds.
Judgment Criterion
- When the difference between the value of average battery cell voltage and the value of battery cell voltage is 0.08 volts or more
Check Conditions
- battery management unit (BMU) power supply voltage is 8 volts to 16 volts.
- Time after above conditions satisfy is less than 0.52 second.
- main drive lithium-ion battery current is less than 1 ampere.
- Average battery cell voltage is 3.85 volts to 4 volts.
- The soaking time is more than 3,600 seconds.
Judgment Criterion
- When the difference between the value of average battery cell voltage and the value of battery cell voltage is 0.2 volts or more.
OBD-II DRIVE CYCLE PATTERN
- Refer to OBD-II Drive Cycle - Pattern 3 .
FAIL-SAFE AND BACKUP FUNCTION
PROBABLE CAUSE
- The module (battery cell and CMU) in the main drive lithium-ion battery is failed.
DIAGNOSIS
STEP 1. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check the data list.
STEP 2. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check the data list.
STEP 3. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check the data list <BMU>
STEP 4. Test the OBD-II drive cycle.
(1) Carry out a test drive with the drive cycle pattern. Refer to OBD-II Drive Cycle - Pattern 3 . (2) Check if the DTC is set.
Is the DTC set?
Retry the troubleshooting. The inspection is complete.
