Before replacing the ECU, ensure that the communication circuit is normal.
DTC SET CONDITIONS
The PHEV-ECU sets the DTC when it detects a malfunction of stop light illuminate circuit.
PROBABLE CAUSES
Damaged harness or connector.
Malfunction of the ETACS-ECU.
Malfunction of the PHEV-ECU.
DIAGNOSIS
Required Special Tools
MB991223: Wiring harness set
MB992006: Extra fine probe
STEP 1. Check the stop light switch.
The stop lights should illuminate when the brake pedal is depressed.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 2.
Carry out troubleshooting for the stop lights (Refer to GROUP 54A - Rear Combination light ).
STEP 2. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check the actuator test.
When the actuator test is performed, the stop lights should illuminate (Refer to ).
