STEP 1. ETACS-ECU coding data check
STEP 2. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), diagnose the CAN bus line.
(1) caution | To prevent damage to scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), always turn the power supply mode of the electric motor switch to the OFF before connecting or disconnecting scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE). |
Connect scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE). Refer to "How to connect scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE)
."
(2) Turn the power supply mode of the electric motor switch to ON.
(3) Diagnose the CAN bus line.
(4) Turn the power supply mode of the electric motor switch to OFF.
Is the CAN bus line found to be normal?
Go to Step 3. Repair the CAN bus line (Refer to GROUP 54C, Diagnosis ).
STEP 3. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), read the diagnostic trouble code.
Check if any DTC is set in the KOS-ECU.(1) caution | To prevent damage to scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), always turn the power supply mode of the electric motor switch to the OFF before connecting or disconnecting scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE). |
Connect scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE). Refer to "How to connect scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE)
."
(2) Turn the power supply mode of the electric motor switch to ON.
(3) Check if DTC is set.
(4) Turn the power supply mode of the electric motor switch to OFF.
Is the DTC set?
Refer to diagnostic trouble code chart . Go to Step 4.
STEP 4. Check the power supply system
STEP 5. Check the operation of the central door locking system.
STEP 6. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check data list.
Check the signals related to the keyless entry function operation.(1) caution | To prevent damage to scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), always turn the power supply mode of the electric motor switch to the OFF before connecting or disconnecting scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE). |
Connect scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE). Refer to "How to connect the Scan Tool (M.U.T.-IIISE)
."
(2) Turn the power supply mode of the electric motor switch to OFF.
(3) Check the ETACS data list.- Turn the power supply mode of electric motor switch to OFF.
- Close the driver's door.
- Close the front passenger's doors.
- Close the RH-side rear door.
- Close the LH-side rear door.
- Close the liftgate.

OK: Normal conditions are displayed for all the items.
Are the check result normal?
: Go to Step 7. : Refer to GROUP 54A, ETACS - Inspection Procedure 4: "The front door switch (driver’s side) signal is not received ." : Refer to GROUP 54A, ETACS - Inspection Procedure 5: "The front door switch (passenger’s side) signal is not received ." : Refer to GROUP 54A, ETACS - Inspection Procedure 6: "The rear door switch (RH) signal is not received ." : Refer to GROUP 54A, ETACS - Inspection Procedure 7: The rear door switch (LH) signal is not received . : Refer to GROUP 54A, ETACS - Inspection Procedure 8: "The liftgate lock actuator <Vehicles without power liftgate> or liftgate latch <Vehicles with power liftgate> signal is not received ."
STEP 7. Check with another registered keyless operation key.
STEP 8. Check of the troubles
