REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
 
 
caution
  • If the ECM is replaced, another ECU related to KOS system should not be replaced together. If at least two ECUs needs to be replaced, replace one ECU and then register its ID with scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE). Then proceed to the replacement of the other ECU.
  • If the ECM is replaced, perform the coding for it.
  • If the ECM is replaced, use scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) to write the VIN (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Perform Vehicle Identification Number Writing ).
  • After the ECM replacement, always make the ECM learn the throttle actuator control motor (Refer to GROUP 00 - Precautions before Service, Initialization Procedure For Throttle Actuator Control Motor ).

Turn on the power supply mode of the electric motor switch and then OFF and hold it for at least 10 seconds.
