INITIALIZE ESTIMATED INFORMATION AND CONTROL INFORMATION OF MAIN DRIVE LITHIUM-ION BATTERY CAPACITY (BATTERY MAINTENANCE FUNCTION)
 
 
caution
  • Do not execute "Batt. capa. estimated info. reset" unless you replace the main drive lithium-ion battery.
  • If you did inadvertently, carry out the procedures for writing BMU learning value (Refer to ), and then execute the main drive lithium-ion battery capacity automatic measurement (Refer to GROUP 54Dc, Main Drive Lithium-ion Battery Capacity Measurement ).
  • While the scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) is communicating with the vehicle, the electric motor switch may not be turned to OFF and ON normally. Therefore, when you turn the electric motor switch to OFF for that communication, wait for approximately 30 seconds and then turn ON it again (do not turn ON it immediately).

If replacing the main drive lithium-ion battery, initialize the main drive lithium-ion battery capacity information and the control information.

1. Connect the scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) to the data link connector.
2. Turn on the power supply mode of the electric motor switch.
3. Select "STV."
4. Select "BMU."
5. Select the "Special Function" from the BMU screen.
6. Select the "Battery maintenance function" from the Special Function screen
7. Select the "Batt. capa. estimated info. reset" from the Battery Maintenance Function screen.
8. Wait until "Batt. capa. estimated info. reset" has been completed. Then select "Control information reset" from the main drive lithium-ion battery maintenance function screen.
9. Turn off the power supply mode of the electric motor switch, and then disconnect the scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE).
