Inspection Procedure 3: The radio broadcasting cannot be received. <Satellite radio>

Before replacing the multivision display, ensure that the power supply circuit, the ground circuit and the communication circuit are normal.
TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION (COMMENT)
In case of digital radio broadcasting cannot be received, shark fin antenna base (fin antenna), antenna feeder or multivision display (integrated satellite radio tuner) may have a problem.
TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS
The shark fin antenna base (fin antenna) may be defective
The antenna feeder may be defective
The multivision display (integrated satellite radio tuner) may be defective
DIAGNOSIS
STEP 1. Confirmation in multivision display service mode.
(1) Display the "Communication Check" screen (Refer to ).
(2) Check that "SMX" is "OK".
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 2.
Go to Step 5.
STEP 2. Check the state of the fin antenna.
Is the antenna assembled?
Go to Step 3.
Assemble shark fin antenna base (fin antenna).
STEP 3. Check if there is any damage to the fin antenna and antenna feeder.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 4.
Replace the shark fin antenna base (fin antenna) and antenna feeder.
STEP 4. Check the connection of the antenna feeder’s plug and multivision display.
Is the antenna feeder’s plug thoroughly connected to the multivision display?
Go to Step 5.
Thoroughly connect the antenna feeder’s plug and the multivision display.
STEP 5. Substitute a known good multivision display, and check the trouble symptom.
Is the check result normal?
Replace the multivision display (Refer to ).
The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to use Troubleshooting/inspection Service Points - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).
