If there is any problem in the CAN bus lines, an incorrect DTC may be set. Prior to this diagnosis, diagnose the CAN bus lines (Refer to GROUP 54C, CAN Bus Diagnostics Table ).
Whenever ECU is replaced, ensure that the CAN bus lines are normal.
OPERATION
EPS-ECU receives steering angle information from the steering wheel sensor.
FUNCTION
Based on the steering angle sensor information the EPS-ECU receives when the ignition switch is in the ON position, the EPS-ECU learns the neutral position of the steering wheel and performs the control to improve the steering wheel return.
TROUBLE JUDGMENT
Check Conditions
The power supply circuit system DTC (No. C1540, C1541) is not set.
Judgment Criterion
When an abnormal steering angle information is received from the steering wheel sensor.
Fail Safe, Back Up Function
The EPS-ECU sets DTC No. C1219.

DIAGNOSIS
1. Check the service data "Item No. 22: Steering wheel angle, Item No. 23: Steering wheel angular velocity" and If there is an abnormality, perform troubleshooting for steering wheel sensor (Refer to GROUP 35C - Troubleshooting ).
