DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION
If a predetermined current does not flow into the lock-up solenoid valve (short to ground), the TCM will determine the system is defective.
DESCRIPTIONS OF MONITOR METHODS
The solenoid valve drive circuit remains short to ground for 0.48 seconds.
MONITOR EXECUTION
- Voltage of battery: 10 volts or more.
MONITOR EXECUTION CONDITIONS (OTHER MONITOR AND SENSOR)

DTC SET CONDITIONS
Check Conditions
- Voltage of battery: 10 volts or more.
Judgment Criteria
- Lock-up solenoid valve actual current: 1.78 A or more (0.5 seconds).
OBD-II DRIVE CYCLE PATTERN
The vehicle is driven for at least 5 seconds at the speed of 20 km/h (13 mph) or more.
PROBABLE CAUSES
- Malfunction of the valve body assembly (Faulty lock-up solenoid valve)
- Damaged wiring harness and connectors
- Malfunction of TCM
