DTC C2349: Received FCM system fail from FCM/LDW/AHB ECU
 
 
cautionWhen the ACC/FCM-ECU is replaced, calibrate the radar (refer to ).
 
 
OPERATION
FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU communicates with the ACC/FCM-ECU via the CAN bus lines.
 
 
DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE SET CONDITION
Check Conditions
  • More than 5 seconds have passed since the ignition switch was turned to "ON" position.
  • ACC/FCM-ECU power voltage is more than 9 volts and is less than 18 volts.
Judgment Criterion
  • A signal, which indicates a failure the FCM system, is received from the FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU.
 
 
PROBABLE CAUSES
  • Defective of the FCM/LDW/AHB system (FCM control related)
  • Defective of the ACC/FCM system (FCM control related)
  • Malfunction of the FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU
  • Malfunction of the ACC/FCM-ECU
 
 
DIAGNOSIS
STEP 1. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check the FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU DTC.
(1)
cautionTo prevent damage to scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), always turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position before connecting or disconnecting scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE).
Connect scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE). Refer to "How to connect the Scan Tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) ."
(2) Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
(3) Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check that any DTC other than code No. C2352 is set in FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU (Refer to GROUP 54A - FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU, Diagnosis, Diagnostic Function ).
(4) Turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position.
Is the DTC set?
Perform the relevant troubleshooting (Refer to GROUP 54A - FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU, Diagnosis, Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart ).
Go to Step 2.
 
STEP 2. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check the DTC.
Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check that any DTC other than code No. C1753 is set in ACC/FCM-ECU.
Is the DTC set?
Troubleshoot the relevant DTC (Refer to ).
Go to Step 3.
 
STEP 3. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check whether the DTC is set again.
Is the DTC C2349 set?
Replace the ACC/FCM-ECU (Refer to ).
It can be assumed that this malfunction is intermittent (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points, How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).
