STEP 1. Check the radar or its surrounding area for dirt or foreign material.
(1) Wipe off the dirt or foreign material from the ACC/FCM-ECU's radar or its surrounding area.
(2) caution | To prevent damage to scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), always turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position before connecting or disconnecting scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE). |
Connect scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE). Refer to "How to connect the Scan Tool (M.U.T.-IIISE)

."
(3) Turn the ignition switch from "LOCK" (OFF) position to "ON" position.
(4) Press the ACC ON/OFF switch to turn the ACC system to ON.
(5) Drive the vehicle for approximately 5 minutes.
(6) Check if the DTC is set.
Is DTC C1753 set?
Go to Step 2
.
This diagnosis is complete. The system has deactivated the ACC temporarily for safety reason. This is not a malfunction.
