Diagnosis Procedure

1.ADJUST THE NEUTRAL POSITION OF STEERING ANGLE SENSOR

Perform neutral position adjustment of steering angle sensor. Refer to Work Procedure

2.PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE

With M.U.T.-III SE

Electric motor switch OFF (Auto ACC function OFF).
Electric motor switch ON.
note Wait at least 10 seconds after electric motor switch ON.
Perform Diagnostic Trouble Code for “ABS".

Is DTC “C106E-54" detected?

INSPECTION END

3.CHECK STEERING ANGLE SENSOR SYSTEM

Check the steering angle sensor system.

Is the inspection result normal?

Repair / replace harness, connector, or terminal.

4.CHECK DATA MONITOR

With M.U.T.-III SE

Select “ABS", “Data List" and “Steering angle" according to this order.
Check that the indication changes with the steering angle when the steering wheel is turned left/right from the neutral position. Refer to Reference Value.

Is the inspection result normal?

Replace the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit). Refer to Removal and Installation

Replace the steering angle sensor. Refer to Removal and Installation
