Check Condition <DTC No.P0C04-00>
  • REMCU power supply voltage is 8.0 volts or more.
Judgment Criterion A <DTC No.P0C04-00>
  • The Rear Drive Motor current-high switch is ON (When the maximum of the 3-phase current is more than +697 amperes or -697 amperes, Rear Drive motor current-high switch turns on) for 0.5 seconds or more.
Judgment Criterion B <DTC No.P0C04-00>
  • The number of times that the Rear Drive Motor current-high switch is ON (When the maximum of the 3-phase current is more than +697 amperes or -697 amperes, Rear Drive motor current-high switch turns on) is three times or more.
Check Condition A <DTC No.P0C08-00>
  • IGBT status: ON (Active)
Check Condition B <DTC No.P0C08-00>
  • REMCU power supply voltage is 8.0 volts or more.
  • The average half wave of target rear drive motor U/V/W phase current is 66 amperes or more.
  • The rear motor speed is between 150 and 1,000 rpm.
  • IGBT status: ON (Active)
Judgment Criterion A <DTC No.P0C08-00>
  • The number of times that the malfunction status (Malfunction status is detected when the difference of the target rear drive motor current and the actual rear drive motor current is equal to or more than 77A continues for 0.18 seconds) of rear drive motor 3-phase current is detected in 60 seconds is three times or more.
Judgment Criterion B <DTC No.P0C08-00>
  • The number of times that the malfunction status (Malfunction status is detected when the average half wave of actual rear drive motor U/V/W phase current is equal to or less than the average half wave of target rear drive motor U/V/W  phase current × 0.966 - 43.95A) of rear drive motor U/V/W phase current is detected is ten times or more.

OBD-II DRIVE CYCLE PATTERN

TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS
  • Malfunction of the rear motor assembly (Malfunction of the resolver circuit system, REMCU and motor, damaged bearing)

DIAGNOSIS
Required Special Tools:
  • MB992744: Vehicle communication interface-Lite (V.C.I.-Lite)
  • MB992745: V.C.I.-Lite main harness A
  • MB992747: V.C.I.-Lite USB cable short
  • MB992748: V.C.I.-Lite USB cable long
1.Test the OBD-II drive cycle.
(1) Carry out a test drive with the drive cycle pattern. Refer to OBD-II Drive Cycle OBD-II DRIVE CYCLE.
(2) Check the DTC.
Is the DTC set?
Replace the rear motor assembly (Refer to MOTOR (ELECTRIC MOTOR UNIT) REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION). Then,
The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to General Information - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points, How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunctions HOW TO COPE WITH INTERMITTENT MALFUNCTIONS).

2.Test the OBD-II drive cycle.
(1) Carry out a test drive with the drive cycle pattern. Refer to OBD-II Drive Cycle OBD-II DRIVE CYCLE.
(2) Check the DTC.
Is the DTC set?
Retry the troubleshooting.
The procedure is complete.
