DTC No. P3084-64 PDU is staying protected because of BCM

DTC SET CONDITION

Check Condition

The power supply mode of the electric motor switch is ON (READY indicator: ON)

Judgment Criterion

Authentication error (BCM) is detected.

TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS

Inappropriate key registration operation
Malfunction of the keyless operation system
Malfunction of the engine control module (ECM)
Malfunction of the power drive unit
Malfunction of the rear motor (malfunction of the REMCU)

caution

The DTC may be set when the 12V battery is removed for the first time.

DIAGNOSIS

Required Special Tools:

MB992744: Vehicle communication interface-Lite (V.C.I.-Lite)
MB992745: V.C.I.-Lite main harness A
MB992747: V.C.I.-Lite USB cable short
MB992748: V.C.I.-Lite USB cable long
MB991223: Wiring harness set
MB992006: Extra fine probe

1.M.U.T.-IIISE other system DTC

Check whether the other system sets the following DTCs.

Engine control module (ECM)

DTC No. P161D-64 Matching error with BCM

REMCU

DTC No. P30FE-64 RMCU is staying protected because of BCM

Is the DTC set?

When all the DTCs are set, go to

2.M.U.T.-IIISE other system DTC

Check whether the keyless ioperation system sets the following DTCs.

KOS

DTC No. B2010-1C Battery voltage

Is the DTC set?

Troubleshoot the set DTCs (Refer to Diagnosis Procedure

3.Check the 12 V power supply voltage of the KOS-ECU.

(1) Disconnect the KOS-ECU connector, and measure at the wiring harness side.

(2) Check the voltage between the KOS-ECU connector (terminal No. 20) and body ground.

OK: Battery voltage

Is the check result normal?

Repair or replace the faulty part.

4.Check whether the DTC is set again.

Is the DTC set?

Replace the power drive unit (Refer to POWER DRIVE UNIT REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
