DTC No. U3D01-06 Logical Block - Algorithm Based Failure

DTC SET CONDITION
Check Condition
  • The power supply mode of the electric motor switch is ON.
Judgment Criterion
  • Algorithm error of the PHEV-ECU (Failed PHEV-ECU update)
  • Failure on microcomputer is detected.

TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS
  • Failed update data
  • Updating PHEV-ECU using the wrong update data
  • Malfunction of the PHEV-ECU
  • Low 12V battery voltage
noteWhen the 12V battery voltage is dropped to the level that the jump-start is necessary, this DTC may be set.

DIAGNOSIS
Required Special Tools:
  • MB992744: Vehicle communication interface-Lite (V.C.I.-Lite)
  • MB992745: V.C.I.-Lite main harness A
  • MB992747: V.C.I.-Lite USB cable short
  • MB992748: V.C.I.-Lite USB cable long
1.Check whether the DTC is set again.
Is the DTC No. U3D01-06 set?
Update the ECU again. Then,
noteWhen the ECU update data cannot be selected, go to Step 2.
The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to General Information - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points, How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunctions HOW TO COPE WITH INTERMITTENT MALFUNCTIONS).

2.Check whether the DTC is set again.
Is the DTC No. U3D01-06 set?
Perform "Compulsion Boot Test" in "Special function" of PHEV-ECU (Refer to SPECIAL FUNCTION). Then go to
  • Item No. 1: Compulsion Boot Test Request
The procedure is complete.

3.Check whether the DTC is set again.
Is the DTC No. U3D01-06 set?
Replace the PHEV-ECU (Refer to PHEV-ECU REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION).
The procedure is complete.
