Diagnosis Procedure
1.CHECK Power liftgate OPEN INPUT SIGNAL
  1. Ignition switch OFF.
  2. Disconnect power liftgate opener switch connector.
  3. Check voltage between power liftgate opener switch harness connector and ground.
    (+)(–)Voltage

Is the inspection result normal?

2.CHECK Power liftgate OPENER SWITCH CIRCUIT
  1. Disconnect BCM connector.
  2. Check continuity between BCM harness connector and power liftgate opener switch harness connector.

  3. Check continuity between BCM harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?
Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation.
Repair or replace harness.
 
3.CHECK Power liftgate OPENER SWITCH GROUND CIRCUIT
Check continuity between power liftgate opener switch harness connector and ground.

4.CHECK Power liftgate OPENER SWITCH
Refer to Component Inspection.

5.CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
Refer to Intermittent IncidentIntermittent Incident.
