Work Procedure

1.PREPARATIONS BEFORE WORK

Set the vehicle in the following condition.

Temperature condition is -10°C (14°F) or higher.
Vehicle is stopped on a flat place.
Battery voltage condition is 14.2 V or more.
note If the battery voltage is low, it is necessary to add a booster.

2.AIR BLEEDING AND INITIALIZE OIL DETERIORATION LEVEL

With M.U.T.-III SE

Turn the ignition switch OFF to ON.
Select “BLEED AIR & INITIALIZE OIL DETERIORATION LEVEL” in “WORK SUPPORT” for “ALL MODE AWD/4WD”.
Select "OK".
Follow the instructions in M.U.T.-III SE.
note When air bleeding is activated, operation noise is heard from the lower part of the vehicle, but this is not a malfunction.

Is “Completed” displayed?

Perform self-diagnosis for “ALL MODE AWD/4WD” and check detected DTC. Refer to DTC Index

3.CHECK OIL LEVEL

Check oil level for electro-hydraulic coupling oil again and add oil if necessary. Refer to Adjustment

note	The oil level may be reduced after air bleeding.

4.FINAL CHECK

With M.U.T.-III SE

Perform DTC confirmation procedure for DTC “C1220-54”. Refer to DTC Description

Is DTC “C1220-54” detected?

Proceed to diagnosis procedure. Refer to Diagnosis Procedure
