Diagnosis Procedure (Cooling Fan Motor)
1.CHECK COOLING FAN CONTROL MODULE POWER SUPPLY-I
  1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
  2. Disconnect cooling fan control module harness connector.
  3. Turn ignition switch ON.
  4. Check the voltage between cooling fan control module harness connector and ground.
    +Voltage
    Cooling fan control module
    ConnectorTerminal

Is the inspection result normal?

2.CHECK COOLING FAN CONTROL MODULE POWER SUPPLY-II
  1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
  2. Remove cooling fan relay 1.
  3. Check the voltage between cooling fan relay 1 harness connector and ground.
    +Voltage
    Cooling fan relay 1

Is the inspection result normal?

3.CHECK FUSIBLE LINK
Check that 50A fusible link (No. V) is not blowing.
Is the fusible link blown (open)?
Perform trouble diagnosis for power supply circuit.
Replace the fusible link after repairing the applicable circuit.
 
4.CHECK COOLING FAN CONTROL MODULE POWAR SUPPLY CIRCUIT
  1. Check the continuity between cooling fan relay 1 harness connector and cooing fan control module harness connector.

  2. Also check harness for short to power and short to ground.
Is the inspection result normal?

Repair or replace error-detected parts.
 
5.CHECK COOLING FAN RELAY 1 DRIVE POWER SUPPLY
  1. Turn ignition switch ON.
  2. Check the voltage between cooling fan relay 1 harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

6.CHECK FUSE
  1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
  2. Check that 10A fuse (No. 103) is not blowing.
Is the fuse blown (open)?

Replace the fuse after repairing the applicable circuit.
 
7.CHECK COOLING FAN RELAY 1 DRIVE SIGNAL CIRCUIT
  1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
  2. Disconnect IPDM E/R harness connector.
  3. Check the continuity between IPDM E/R harness connector and cooing fan relay 1 harness connector.

  4. Also check harness for short to power and short to ground.
Is the inspection result normal?

Repair or replace error-detected parts.
 
8.CHECK COOLING FAN RELAY 1

Replace cooling fan relay 1.
 
9.CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
Perform Intermittent IncidentIntermittent Incident.
Is the inspection result normal?
Replace IPDM E/R. Removal and Installation.
Repair or replace error-detected parts.
 
10.CHECK COOLING FAN CONTROL MODULE GROUND CIRCUIT
  1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
  2. Check the continuity between cooling fan control module harness circuit.

  3. Also check harness for short to power.

11.CHECK COOLING FAN CONTROL SIGNAL
  1. Reconnect cooling fan control module harness connector.
  2. Start engine.
  3. Check the voltage between IPDM E/R harness connector and ground.

12.CHECK COOLING FAN CONTROL SIGNAL CIRCUIT
  1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
  2. Disconnect IPDM E/R harness connector and cooling fan control module harness connector.
  3. Check the continuity between IPDM E/R harness connector and cooing fan control module harness connector.
