Diagnosis Procedure
1.CHECK STEERING VIBRATION MOTOR CIRCUIT
  1. Turn the ignition switch ON.
  2. Select the actuator test item "STRG vibration" (in "Special Function") of "ICC/ADAS 2" with M.U.T.-III SE.
  3. With operating the test item, check the operation.
    ON : Steering vibration motor is activated.
    OFF: Steering vibration motor is not activated.
Is the inspection result normal?

2.CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN SPIRAL CABLE AND ADAS CONTROL UNIT 2
  1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
  2. Disconnect the spiral cable connector.
  3. Disconnect the ADAS control unit 2 connector.
  4. Check continuity between the spiral cable harness connector and ADAS control unit 2 harness connector.

  5. Check continuity between the spiral cable harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

Repair the harnesses or connectors.
 
3.CHECK SPIRAL CABLE
Check for continuity between the spiral cable terminals.

Is the inspection result normal?

Replace spiral cable.
 
4.CHECK STEERING VIBRATION MOTOR SIGNAL
  1. Connect the all connectors.
  2. Turn ignition switch ON.
  3. Select the actuator test item "STRG vibration" (in "Special Function") of "ICC/ADAS 2" with M.U.T.-III SE.
  4. Check voltage between the ADAS control unit 2 harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?
Replace the steering vibration motor. Refer to Removal and Installation.

5.CHECK SELF-DIAGNOSIS RESULTS
Check if any DTC other than “C1F00-XX” is detected in “Self Diagnostic Result” of “ACC/ADAS 2”.
Is any DTC detected?
Perform diagnosis on the detected DTC and repair or replace the malfunctioning parts. Refer to DTC IndexDTC Index .
Replace the ADAS control unit 2. Refer to Removal and Installation.
