Diagnosis Procedure
1.CHECK FUSE
  1. Ignition switch OFF.
  2. Check that the following fuse is not blown (open).
    Signal nameFuse No.
    Rear seat heater RH power supply66 (30A)
Is the fuse blown (open)?
Replace the blown (open) fuse after repairing the affected circuit if a fuse is blown (open).
 
2.CHECK REAR SEAT HEATER RH POWER SUPPLY VOLTAGE
  1. Disconnect rear seat heater RH connector.
  2. Start the engine.
  3. Check voltage between rear seat heater RH harness connector and ground.
    +-Voltage
    Rear seat heater RH

Is the inspection result normal?
Repair the rear seat heater RH power supply circuit.
 
3.CHECK REAR SEAT HEATER RH GROUND CIRCUIT (OPEN)
  1. Ignition switch OFF.
  2. Check continuity between rear seat heater RH harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?
Repair the harness or connector.
 
4.CHECK REAR SEAT HEATER RH LIN SIGNAL
  1. Connect rear seat heater RH connector.
  2. Ignition switch ON.
  3. Confirm output waveform between rear seat heater RH harness connector and A/C amp. harness connector with oscilloscope.

    Rear seat heater RHA/C amp.

Is the inspection result normal?
Replace seat cushion pad. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly.
 
5.CHECK REAR SEAT HEATER RH LIN SIGNAL CIRCUIT (OPEN)
  1. Ignition switch OFF.
  2. Disconnect rear seat heater RH connector and A/C amp. connector.
  3. Check continuity between rear seat heater RH harness connector and A/C amp. harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?
Repair the harness or connector.
 
6.CHECK REAR SEAT HEATER RH LIN SIGNAL CIRCUIT (SHORT TO GROUND)
  1. Disconnect following connectors.
    • Front seat heater LH
    • Front seat heater RH
    • Rear seat heater LH
  2. Check continuity between rear seat heater RH harness connector and ground.
    Rear seat heater RH—Continuity

Is the inspection result normal?
Replace A/C amp. Refer to Removal and Installation.
Repair the harness or connector.
