DTC B1194 HVAC Blower Motor Mismatch
 
 
 
 
DTC SET CONDITION
DTC No. B1194 will be set when there is abnormality in the coding data sent from the ETACS-ECU.
 
 
 
TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS
  • Malfunction of CAN bus line
  • ETACS coding data abnormality
  • Malfunction of the ETACS-ECU
  • Malfunction of the A/C controller assembly (A/C-ECU)
 
 
 
DIAGNOSIS
STEP 1. Using scan tool MB991958, diagnose the CAN bus line
(1)
cautionTo prevent damage to scan tool MB991958, always turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position before connecting or disconnecting scan tool MB991958.
Connect scan tool MB991958. Refer to "How to connect the Scan Tool (M.U.T.-III) ."
(2) Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
(3) Diagnose the CAN bus line.
(4) Turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 2.
Repair the CAN bus lines (Refer to GROUP 54C, Troubleshooting ).
 
STEP 2. ETACS-ECU coding data check
STEP 1. Using scan tool MB991958, check if there is the A/C Fan Control Type abnormality to the coding data stored in the ETACS-ECU.
OK: "PWM" is displayed.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 3.
Replace the ETACS-ECU.
 
STEP 3. Check whether the DTC is set again.
Recheck if the DTC is set.
(1) Erase the DTC.
(2) Ignition switch: "LOCK" (OFF) to "ON"
(3) Check if the DTC is set.
Is the DTC set?
Replace the A/C controller assembly (A/C-ECU).
The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00, How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).
