STEP 1. Check KOS-ECU connector C-08 and outside transmission antenna assembly (driver's side) connector D-26 for loose, corroded or damaged terminals, or terminals pushed back in the connector.
STEP 2. Check the wiring harness between KOS-ECU connector C-08 (terminal Nos. 32, 44) and outside transmission antenna assembly (driver's side) connector D-26 (terminal Nos. 1, 5).
- Check the communication, power supply, and ground wires for open circuit.
note | Also check intermediate connector C-26 for loose, corroded, or damaged terminals, or terminals pushed back in the connector. If intermediate connector C-26 is damaged, repair or replace the damaged component(s) as described in GROUP 00E, Harness Connector Inspection . |
Are the wiring harness between KOS-ECU connector C-08 (terminal Nos. 32, 44) and outside transmission antenna assembly (driver's side) connector D-26 (terminal Nos. 1, 5) in good condition?
Go to Step 3. The wiring harness may be damaged or the connector(s) may have loose, corroded or damaged terminals, or terminals pushed back in the connector. Repair the wiring harness as necessary. Check that the outside transmission antenna assembly (driver's side) works normally.
STEP 4. Check whether the diagnostic trouble code is set again.
(1) Erase the DTC.
(2) Turn the power supply mode of the engine switch from OFF to ON.
(3) Check if the DTC is set.
Is the DTC set?
Replace KOS-ECU and register the ID codes (Refer to ). Intermittent malfunction is suspected (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points - How to Deal with Intermittent Malfunction ).
