REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
 
 
caution
  • When removing or installing the mass airflow sensor, be careful not to apply impact to the sensor.
  • Do not reuse the mass airflow sensor that has been dropped.
Removal steps
1.Air cleaner element
•Headlight support upper panel cover (Refer to GROUP 51 - Front Bumper Assembly ).
2.Air cleaner intake duct

5.Air cleaner cover
6.Breather hose connection
7.Air cleaner resonator <2.4L ENGINE>
8.Air intake hose
9.Air cleaner body
•Engine control module (ECM) [Refer to GROUP 13A - Engine Control Module (ECM) ] <2.0L ENGINE>
•Engine control module (ECM) [Refer to GROUP 13C - Engine Control Module (ECM) ] <2.4L ENGINE>

>>A<< MASS AIRFLOW SENSOR INSTALLATION
1. Install the mass airflow sensor to the air cleaner cover with care not to damage the O-ring.
2.
cautionDo not over-tighten. If the mass airflow sensor mounting screw is over-tightened, the air cleaner cover thread can be damaged.
Tighten the mass airflow sensor mounting screws to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 1.5 ± 0.3 N·m (13 ± 2 in-lb)
